Amelia Village Mayor
Let me be the first to welcome you to Amelia Village. Amelia was established in 1900 with a just a few residents and as of the 2010 census, has grown to have a population of 4,801 residents. This means we are just 200 residents shy of becoming a city! Although we are very close to becoming a city we still pride ourselves in our small town feel.
Amelia is a great place to live; shop, work, and most importantly raise a family. I have lived in Amelia Village for over 22 years in the same house, on the corner of South Kline & Maple Avenue. I have raised my children here and now have the honor of watching one of my daughters raise her family here too. Amelia has a lot to offer its residents! We have an excellent elementary school, Go Tigers! Amelia Village also offers several parks that include a Frisbee golf course, skate park, play ground equipment for your children and even a doggie park for your four legged friends! We have many walking tracks and a mini fitness zone. Here in Amelia we like to get the community involved in many ways whether it be our Easter Egg Hunt, National Night Out, Car Show, or the 30 year old tradition of the Christmas Parade.
I have served on the Amelia Village Council for a total of 10 years and now have the honor and privilege to serve as the Mayor of Amelia. The Village is growing and I look forward to the many challenges, changes, and opportunities that are in our future. I look forward to serving the residents of Amelia for the next four years. So if you ever come by the Corner of South Kline and Maple Avenue and see me outside, please feel free to stop by and pull up a rocking chair for a chat and a soda pop!
Hope to see you soon,
Todd J. Hart
