The Amelia Police Department is a proud participant in “The National Night Out”.
National Night Out is a night for communities to get together with police officers to learn how to have a safer community while having a lot of fun at the same time.

National Night out is designed to:

    - Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
  1. - Generate support for, and participation in local crime prevention programs
  2. - Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships

This year’s event will be held on August 5th, 2008 and will kick off from Groh Park at 7:00 PM with a parade. The parade will go through Sedona Ridge and end at Shank Park.
At Shank Park the evening will include, a chance to meet your Amelia Police Officers, an opportunity to enjoy free hot dogs, live music, activities for kids, safety displays, and learn about crime prevention.
