Amelia Village is a Statutory Village within the State of Ohio and was incorporated in 1900 by a petition of area land owners.
Amelia Village is governed by eight elected officials, the Mayor, six members of Village Council elected to 4 yr staggered terms, and the Treasurer. The elected officials must all be registered voters in Amelia and also must reside in Amelia at least one year before they take office.
